Paprika Shoukudo is perhaps one of the best #vegan restaurant in Osaka. Not just for their excellent food but also for their friendly service!
When we found this place, we were delighted by the “Vegan For Life” sign that stands outside the front entrance. Osaka is our very first stop in Japan, and we were quite worried that we might stumble upon some restaurant that serves fish and still calls it self a vegan or vegetarian restaurant. So, seeing this sign is definitely a relief.
The restaurant is warmly lit and has a chilled atmosphere. The restaurant itself is rather small but it has got a sufficient number of tables and seats.
We received the menu in English and placed our order. A few minutes after, our orders arrived.
The Soy Meat Yakinu Bowl came with a generous portion of marinated soy meat topped with shredded chilli and sesame seeds, some fresh green salad (with different colored carrots cut out in the shape of butterflies), and brown rice. It was delicious, and very filling.
We ended the meal with some tofu cheese cake, brownie topped with vegan cream and cinnamon banana cake! They were all so good. It is physically impossible to choose a favourite!
